A LITTLE ABOUT ME...
Dance background
I began dancing at the age of 5, studying ballet, contemporary and jazz and went on to The National Ballet school to train full time. After ballet school I studied Performing Arts at Otago University. Since then I've performed on stage and screen in different shows including being a core member of Dynamotion, being part of Giselle at the Auckland Art Gallery and also performed at Tempo dance festival in Death, Disco, Heartbeat. Barre was a natural progression for me as many aspects come from the ballet barre, musicality of dance as well as pilates and yoga.
Family life
Life is shared with husband Greg, our two dynamic daughters aged 13 and 9, and our boxer dog Buckley. We lead a pretty fluid lifestyle operating between our hospitality businesses and family life. You’ll find us carving out time, at the mercy of surf forecasts, at Piha or on the northern east coast beaches. Surfing for me offers a calmness and mindfulness when I’m out in the ocean and a change of pace to my inner city life. I strive to eat well and love to feed my family delicious and healthy meals which I spend my knowledge and research planning for. My husband runs our hospitality businesses and we're both very busy but make time to spend with our kids and enjoy the time we have with each other.
Accessible & fun
I want to make barre accessible to all, no matter what your fitness level or how busy your life. I'm continually adding to a series of online videos which you can have unlimited access to through paid subscription, so if you can't make an in-studio class you can join me online from anywhere.

Consistent Barre classes will give you confidence, tone and strength, whether you've done ballet previously or not. Most of my clients are trying barre for the first time and I'm thrilled with the feedback!
"I was feeling a bit intimated about trying barre, I never did ballet as a kid and I imagined all these ballerinas in the class but it wasn't like that at all! Cat's classes are awesome, she's guided me all the way, I'm feeling so much more confident and working muscles I wasn't with yoga, I feel the benefit." – Hannah M.
"Cat's classes are not just about barre, she's really into overall mind and body wellness which has inspired me to find more balance in all aspects of life, and meeting others in the class also looking for change has been great, I highly recommend!" – Amie B.
